TS150 andTS125 for sale

TS125 1984 nearly all there for rebuild. Stripped down for storage and would go in the back of a hatchback for collection.

TS150 1977 again not complete, no side covers, would be ideal to turn into a green lane bike or trials. Again, stripped for storage.

Both bikes would make a good basis for trials bikes, or both to make one road bike.

£100 each ,or £175 for the two.

HELP PLEASE . LOTS OF BIKES AVAILABLE

HELP PLEASE . LOTS OF BIKES AVAILABLE

As many people know, the MZ Riders Club has inherited Mike the Bike’s bikes. All the non-MZ related stuff (BMW, Honda and a lot of miscellaneous unidentified parts) has gone and we will shortly be listing all the MZ stuff or at least a great proportion of it, for sale on eBay.

We have been lucky to acquire a couple of months storage of what amounted to a dozen or so bikes, dozens of wheels and spares (In fact, 4 Mercedes Sprinter long wheelbase vans full) for a relatively nominal sum.

We had intended to put this in the magazine for the members so that those without the benefit of the Internet could know what’s available and make an offer.

However we had been waiting since the beginning of the year for probate and when the solicitors advised us that the bikes were ready for collection (in a very narrow time window I might add) the magazine has just gone to print this.

As it would clearly be two months before the next magazine, that would be two months storage for which we would have to pay a substantial amount extra. We did toy with the idea of sending out a separate newsletter to all the members but that would have cost almost £1000 with printing and postage and to do so for the few members who don’t have access to the Internet, didn’t make logistical sense.

We need your help.

Help Number 1

Can you please contact as many people who you know in the club, who do not have Internet access and tell them that these bikes and spares will shortly be going for sale on eBay (within the next week or so) and that if they want to look at them and make an offer, they will need to find someone with access to a computer.

To give you an idea of what we have here, there are 7 bikes in various states, all nonrunners, one of which (TS125/150) has been extensively powder coated and chromed but for which there is no engine, five frames some with swinging arms, three of which have been powder coated. About 20 wheels or so, (3 or four of which have been rebuilt with chrome spokes) a dozen tyres (some of which are new).

Apart from the above, the bikes are all non-runners and have suffered from storage and not all have keys but they are:

ETZ251 with the front forks and some parts of instruments and controls removed but the front forks are present.

TS150 which looks complete apart from the toolbox cover

Saxon 251 fun which looks complete

TS250 Wilf Green special with legshields. Not done a lot of miles, about 4000 from memory. I can’t guarantee that.

TS250 which looks complete.

ETS250 Trophy Sport which needs a total rebuild but looks complete apart from the rear light cover.

Saxon 251 with forks removed but the forks are there.

There are boxes and boxes of parts, speedos, indicators, new parts, all parts, regulators, generators et cetera et cetera.

The next thing I need help with :-

Help Number 2:

We need to go through all the boxes and puts everything into some semblance of order and decide which parts go with which bike so that we can then list them on eBay.

I propose therefore that a week tomorrow, Saturday the 29th, from 11am until probably 2 o’clock I will be at the unit in Flint, postcode CH6, where all this is stored.

If you could put your overalls on and a pair of gloves (to keep your pinkies clean!) and pop along to assist in sorting this out, it would be really appreciated.

I promise, it’s an eye-opener (and half of the bulk has gone already!).

Please PM me for address or get hold of me through the address in MZ Rider magazine

For sale is my ETZ250 which can only be described as a bit of a project. I acquired this bike in 2013 and unfortunately have done nothing with it apart from cleaning the petrol tank out. I am very unlikely to have the time to do anything further in the near or distant future so I am looking to move it on. The bike has stood since 1993 and has suffered cosmetically for it, everything is pretty rusty as can be seen. It actually looks better in the photo’s than in person as things usually do. On the plus side it seems complete and original with just over 15,000 miles showing and having had 4 previous owners. The engine has good compression, turns over freely, a spark and does start with a little petrol tipped down the cylinder. The carburettor needs attention as the slide is stuck and will most definitely need stripping and cleaning. The rear tire is good but the front needs replacing due to cracks appearing in the sidewall. There is only 1 ignition key with the bike and no steering lock or side panel key. I have the V5 in my name and the bike is on a SORN. Located just outside York. North Yorkshire I am asking £180.00 firm which is what the bike owes me and no more. For any other information etc. you can email me at newband(at)fastmail(dot)net

ETZ251/301 For Sale

It’s been my daily ride for the last eighteen months, but now it’s time for a parting of the ways, so my ETZ301 is up for grabs.
As always, the pictures make it look better than it is – the spokes are painted with silver hammerite and the tank has a poor rattle can spray job, so it is in working, well used condition. Mechanically however, it’s sound. Just had a new clutch and repair to the kickstart spring, tyres are less than 1000 miles old Mitchellin City Pro and the P/O fitted a Wilf Green 300 top end. The swing arm spindle is free and recently greased up, and the pre-load on both rear shocks is free and working also. It goes really well. As can be seen, it features a home made digital dashboard, as when it came to me the speedo was under reading by 20% and the tacho was kaput. All the hardware to re-mount the original instruments are included in the sale, along with 2 speedos, the broken tacho, the original 251 barrel, a speedo cable and one or two other bits and pieces, including a spare carb. The bike is MOT’d until November.
I’m located in south Birmingham, about 2 miles from junction 3 of the M42. £500 and you can ride it away – a fair price to fellow club members, otherwise it goes on flea bay. And no, the SilverStar in the background is definitely NOT for sale!

I should also mention that it was a cat ‘D’ insurance write off last June when I dropped it trying to avoid a moron doing a U turn about 40 feet infront of me. The only evidence remaining is a slightly scratched, but nearly new silencer….

1997 MZ TS250 SUPA 5 for sale

1977 MZ TS250 SUPA 5

Complete nut and bolt rebuild. To be fair the bike was in good condition before I started with no rust and had been well cared for. But I got carried away and before I new it I was left with a bare frame hanging from the garage roof! So its had everything done to it
New Wheel bearings, head bearings, swinging arm bushes, cables, rear shock absorbers, front forks rebuilt, Honda front brake (much better than original), michelin tyres, blade type fuse holder, all wiring connectors cleaned or replaced as necessary, iridium plug, points, condensor, carb jets gaskets etc, rear light lens, new battery. Tank, mudguards, frame resprayed. etc etc etc..
Starts first or second kick every time, runs, handles great! except!! the big end is rattling, only decided to start rattling 20 miles after I had put it back on the road! The rings bore compression etc are all fine I checked and as I say it runs well with no other problems.
Its just had an MOT with no advisories.
So grab a great bike, it wont be hard to fix.
I would do it myself but i need the cash as we are buying a new house and the wife says she’ll divorce me if I take it apart again lol
It will break my heart to let it go after so much work but needs must.
Any inspection welcome
Ps Could also do with a new side cover as you can see in the photo, but I couldn’t find one. I’ve also got the original front wheel with brake if you want it.

1992 ETZ 125 for sale

About 5 years ago this bike was sold as a rusting none runner. It had 2400 miles on the clock, I checked and apparently it had not been on the road since 1995. It also had the original 1995 tax disk fitted to the bike.
For some reason it was then left to decay and rust.
The engine was removed and the rest of the bike was re-worked and painted by a local part time restorer. Most of the chrome work was replaced. The electrical wiring and associated items were checked or replaced with modern equivalent replacements. the engine was checked but needed very little work. I rode it for a couple of years and put 1600 on the clock. It has been kept in a dry, warm place and will need to be re-commissioned. The time as come for me to move on and I am unable to find a suitable place to keep the bike and need to sell it. It will need a new battery and the gearbox will need to be re-filled. It will also need some form of transport to move it.
I am open to sensible offers and can be contacted on 01902 896156. remember I am living between two addresses but will reply to messages on the answerphone, please state your number clearly.
