I’m trying to locate and possibly buy an MZ TS250/1 The bike in question holds a lot of memories for me personally. It’s Blue Reg MKF100R is was first registered in Liverpool in 1977 and was bought new by my late uncle Alan who lived in Runcorn at the time. The last time I saw the bike it had a Honda twin leading shoe front break on it. If anyone could let me know where the bike is and if it could be for sale I would be very grateful. I just found the group and joined. I’m disabled with “Severe traumatic brain injury” from a Bike/Planet interface in ‘96. I’ve had a few bikes since then, but always went ott and ended up getting rid.
I need something that’s simple, practical and isn’t going to encourage me to go mad again. A 250 would be ideal, enough power to shift my Lardy self, without going back to the 1000 and 1200cc stuff.
I can’t work so finances are tight, but I had a 250 in ‘81 and an old 150 in ‘95, loved them.
I need something that’s a runner, with V5, I don’t worry about the cosmetics. Main criteria is CHEAP. I’m available at Steve@Pedaldog.co.uk and I live in Lancaster. Thanks for looking.
1981 Supa 5 that sadly I cannot finish, due to back and other problems. It is 90% done, but needs several jobs doing to get it running. Silver Star for sale. 25000 miles, MOT to 20/5/2023
I never intended adding another MZ to join my 500R and Skorpion but it was a means to an end. I’ve unloaded a Norton Commando to a classic bike dealer in exchange for the Silver Star plus cash. The Star is 1994 but lived in The Craven Collection in East Yorkshire until 2008 when it was DVLA registered on an age related plate . Its had three keepers before me and I got it in November 2021. Since having it I’ve tidied it up, no major surgery required. New bits include alloy rims and stainless spokes, Tachometer, Clutch plates and springs, oil and filter change. The bike has been used not abused, ridden not hidden and hence has some age related marks or “patina” as its known. Tyres are good and it has OEM luggage racks. It rides very nicely. Two keys and historical paperwork are included.
