COLOUR OF MUDGUARDS

Hi

Does anyone know the colour of the Ts 250 mudguards? There’s plenty of silver spray cans around but I’m sure one of you ‘fountains of all knowledge’ have experimented and come up with the best match.

Also, do the 250/1 forks make much difference to the handling as opposed to the 250 4 speed, or were they only changed to accomodate the 18″ wheel?

Thanks Rob

For sale is my ETZ250 which can only be described as a bit of a project. I acquired this bike in 2013 and unfortunately have done nothing with it apart from cleaning the petrol tank out. I am very unlikely to have the time to do anything further in the near or distant future so I am looking to move it on. The bike has stood since 1993 and has suffered cosmetically for it, everything is pretty rusty as can be seen. It actually looks better in the photo’s than in person as things usually do. On the plus side it seems complete and original with just over 15,000 miles showing and having had 4 previous owners. The engine has good compression, turns over freely, a spark and does start with a little petrol tipped down the cylinder. The carburettor needs attention as the slide is stuck and will most definitely need stripping and cleaning. The rear tire is good but the front needs replacing due to cracks appearing in the sidewall. There is only 1 ignition key with the bike and no steering lock or side panel key. I have the V5 in my name and the bike is on a SORN. Located just outside York. North Yorkshire I am asking £180.00 firm which is what the bike owes me and no more. For any other information etc. you can email me at newband(at)fastmail(dot)net

1997 MZ TS250 SUPA 5 for sale

1977 MZ TS250 SUPA 5

Complete nut and bolt rebuild. To be fair the bike was in good condition before I started with no rust and had been well cared for. But I got carried away and before I new it I was left with a bare frame hanging from the garage roof! So its had everything done to it
New Wheel bearings, head bearings, swinging arm bushes, cables, rear shock absorbers, front forks rebuilt, Honda front brake (much better than original), michelin tyres, blade type fuse holder, all wiring connectors cleaned or replaced as necessary, iridium plug, points, condensor, carb jets gaskets etc, rear light lens, new battery. Tank, mudguards, frame resprayed. etc etc etc..
Starts first or second kick every time, runs, handles great! except!! the big end is rattling, only decided to start rattling 20 miles after I had put it back on the road! The rings bore compression etc are all fine I checked and as I say it runs well with no other problems.
Its just had an MOT with no advisories.
So grab a great bike, it wont be hard to fix.
I would do it myself but i need the cash as we are buying a new house and the wife says she’ll divorce me if I take it apart again lol
It will break my heart to let it go after so much work but needs must.
Any inspection welcome
Ps Could also do with a new side cover as you can see in the photo, but I couldn’t find one. I’ve also got the original front wheel with brake if you want it.

MZ ETZ 250 1989

MZ ETZ 250 1989

I bought this a year ago off MZRC member in NE. Now need some room in garage.

Low mileage 21k. Documented services in hand book. Ive done about 1400 miles and its been superb. Never let me down.

Electron ignition. Kawasaki ER500 brake master cylinder and braided brake lines make front brake very effective. Mikuni carb. Panniers (tops don’t match) and luggage rack.

I paid £1000 so an offer near that would be great.

I am away Thursday 15th Sept for a week but can still be contacted.

Bike located in Crosby Liverpool L23.

Simple wiring diagram wanted for TS150 Special

wiring 3

Looking for urgent help or salvation – wiring is not my forte. I am building a MZ TS150 radically modified for the Beamish Trophy Trial. I am looking to fit a simple wiring diagram incorporating the MZ battery but without an ignition switch, indicators or warning lights. I have a separate loom made for lights which is OK but I urgently need help/advice/assistance to sort out an ignition loom.

Please find attached my wiring diagram for the TS150 Special. I have incorporated a two pole switch from Maplins but would prefer a simple on/off switch to energise the coil and maybe a kill switch direct from the coil.  I am now getting an ignition spark. However as soon as I connect the positive lead to the battery I get a spark showing an open circuit and I can hear a clicking noise from the regulator irrespective of whether I have the switch on or off..

Is the wiring to the regulator/rectifier wired correctly with the two right hand terminals going to the battery? – OR – can someone send me a simple wiring diagram that will work. Ron Wright on 01912520627 or ron-wright[at]blueyonder[dot]co[dot]uk

Hello from Liverpool

Hi

New owner of 1974 TS250. My second two stroke since the 80s.

Lovely bike and looking forward to meeting up with my local section. Once I get it going again.

Really struggling. Was going so well then gave up on  a run. No life in it now.

Spark good. Petrol getting to carb. Battery good.

Any suggestions please
