ParticipantThanks Keith, I’ve straightened it, welded it up and strengthened it in placed, painted and refitted. It now shows the rest of the bike up!

ParticipantJust in case anyone ever has the same problem, I’ve now sorted it. The green (signal) wire doesn’t connect to the coil for a signal but instead goes to the rectifier under the seat. Once it was reconnected the tacho works fine, although judging by the amount of grime on the terminal it had been off some time, which is why I missed it when I first looked.

ParticipantCheers guys. I’ve put a little silicon grease on the non electrical parts that move. Do you use the Waxoyl or Vaseline on the actual brass contacts to keep them clean? I’d have thought they’d both act as insulators?
