How about putting the magazines online?

Personally, I’d find it really useful to have a searchable archive of the club magazines online. PDF format must already exist for recent(ish) issues?

I’d be happy to take on the role of setting this up for the club if people were interested?

Like the idea and a couple of thoughts.
1) I’m sure the current mag can be exported as a PDF by Steve as I remember a post by James the Chair saying he receives a PDF version of the mag to look at before it goes to the printers. I would assume this is a “full fat” file that is searchable as it’s come from Steve’s publishing/editing software, which has evolved over time.
2) Different editors have used different methods of getting the mag to the printers, indeed the very early ones were typewriter and photocopier jobs. Some had handwritten stuff in them. If they could see what we’re getting now they would be gobsmacked.

It’s already available online. Just select paper copy or online.
If you choose online, you will not receive the annual calendar.
See ‘Emag subscription’ in the ‘join/renew’ section. I don’t know if an archive is available, best ask the Boss.

I chose online a couple of years ago, but missed the calendar so went back to paper copy. Spend too much time in front of a screen as it is!

I know you can choose your subscription type already, I was thinking of on online, searchable archive of all the club magazines.

Hi all, has anything come of this? While I prefer the paper copy over reading online, I would definitely like to be able to search the back issues plus save odd articles etc from current issues.

I can set this up on the server using pdfkeeper. Do we have PDF back issues?
