    Hi there, I did a similar mod to my 250/1 and found I had indicator problems unless I used resistor spark plug and carbon plug lead !???

    Plus one for Goffy – I recently bought 4 6V amber LED bulbs from him. Work well. Got an appropriate flasher relay from ebay price £9.56. All works well except have to use charge light as just that now – system not able to drive charge light as flasher repeater now… Used an earlier John Latuskie article for guidance. Hope this makes sense and is useful. Regards, John.

    Hi there,

    Once had this happen to me when my TS250 was brand new in 1976 – turned out to be large paint flakes from where the fuel cap rubbed the tank which then restricted (but didn’t block) the fuel flow inside the tank. Took some bottoming that one…..

    Don’t know if this helps, just thought I’d mention it.
