Thanks for the replies!
The problem was, I made too many changes at the same time, which made it difficult to fault find. Yesterday I swapped the carb for the previous one, which didn’t work, but when I changed back to the new one again it fired up, and is running fine. I did take the new carb to pieces and check everything while it was out, so maybe that made a difference.

Thanks Keith. I didn’t notice any markings at all on the piston but I’ll take a closer look.
