Yeti Hunt, Ffair Rhos near Devils Bridge, 10th – 12th December

“The Yeti hunt is back on 10,11,12th December 2021”

After a two year break MZRC SAWWS are happy to announce that The Yeti Hunt winter camp is back and shall be held in Mid Wales for the first time. In a lofty position at the village of Ffair Rhos near Devils bridge. There are ample clean and quirky facilities on site and only 50 yards from the Teifi Inn, a friendly hostelry with good food and local ales.
This is not a pre book event , but it would be good to have an idea of numbers for the pub to order in supplies. So if you intend attending please drop me a line at ro4n@btinternet.com or give me a ring or leave a text on 07721 899641. For directions and info follow the links.

See you there,

NW England autumn camp

The NW England camp at the Turner Hall campsite over the weekend of September 17th – 19th is definitely ON. Hilary, the site owner would prefer those thinking of turning up that weekend to pre-book either online, by email or by phone, however she won’t turn anybody away if they just turn up. However if you have  covid symptoms, tested positive for covid or are isolating then could you please stay away. There will be  QR posters knocking about the place to register on. The Turner Hall website is turnerhallcampsite.co.uk

Cheers

Dave Gillespie

The site owner has blocked the online booking as the MZ Club is holding it’s autumn camp that weekend. But she is taking bookings by email or over the phone or she will accept bookings from anyone who just turns up that weekend.

Carrog Camp 5th – 8th August PROVISIONAL

Provided the promised Covid un-lockdown goes ahead in Wales, so will Carrog.
Now in its 16th year, probably the largest MZ rally of the year. Snowdonia is a hop skip and jump away. The River Geek runs past the bottom of the field and the Llangollen Steam Railway, Carrog Station is adjacent to the field. The Grouse Inn, 10 minutes walk away, does real ale and decent food at reasonable prices with excellent service. The view from the pub over the valley and the river is amazing from the terrace. If you have never been, you don’t know what you are missing.

Please feel free to ring me before setting out just to doublecheck it’s going ahead.
