The NW England section will be hosting their 2025 Autumn camp at the Turner Hall campsite, Seathwaite, Broughton – in – Furness LA20 6EE over the weekend of September 5th – 7th. As yet I do not have the up to date tariff for this campsite, despite contacting the owner, but last years prices were as follows; Adults £9 . 00, Tent £2 . 00, bike £1 . 00, Car £2 . 00. The facilities at this campsite are good, the pub (only pub) is a 10 minute walk, it might be advisable to book for a meal on Friday and the view from your tent is very satisfying. S. of Scotland Camping Weekend – Rothesay, Isle of Bute, 12th – 14th September

September 12th – 14th : Camping Weekend, Rothesay, Isle of Bute.
The venue is the ROSELAND Caravan/Camping site, which sits above the town and is close to the Golf Course so if you follow the signs for that from the town centre you’ll reach the site. The isle of Bute can be accessed from either Wemyss Bay with its fine ferry terminal building or via the 2 minute ferry crossing at Colintraive. The site has excellent facilities including a restaurant and bar. For those not wanting to camp there are a few ‘pods’ available, each can sleep 3 comfortably ; book on-line (roselandlodgepark.co.uk) There’s no shortage of accommodation (and hostelries) in the town, its centre being a 10 min. downhill walk – getting back up to the site will, however, take a little more lung-power but plentiful taxis are available. Camping charges are £15 per tent per night. There will be section representation on site from Thursday. For further information contact Gordon Wilson (01786 832336) or email gwilsonc15@gmail.com

S. of Scotland Camping Weekend – Bonchester Bridge, 9th – 11th May

MAY 9th > 11th : S. of SCOTLAND CAMPING WEEKEND – BONCHESTER BRIDGE.
We return to this excellent site, a few miles from Hawick, for the third year in a row. The spacious site has excellent facilities and also hook-ups for caravans and motorhomes. Charges are £15 pppn but £23 pppn if you have a hook-up. If you want to stop over on the Thursday or Sunday evenings then that can be arranged. Note…there are no local shops. The friendly and comfortable Horse & Hound Inn is a very short walk away; it has a small number of rooms available and booking on-line is welcomed.
