16 October: Ace Café ‘Red Oktober’ meet: Although not an IFA Club-organised event, we are, for the second year running, supporting this event held by the World-famous café on the North Circular, near Stonebridge, North London. It opens from 9am with a display of Eastern Bloc cars and bikes, while the vintage-themed restored 1930s café provides a pleasant atmosphere and great food and drink. 1-2 October:  ‘Red Oktober’ weekend will include a Cold War classic vehicle gathering at the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft in Lincolnshire (the World’s largest collection of trolleybuses).  Our Club AGM will be held in the museum’s ‘Regal’ Cinema!  We expect to also visit the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum, the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre and possibly cross the Humber Bridge to visit Streetlife Museum of Transport in Hull. 3-4 September: Isle of Wight visit and car show.

Isle of Wight – Charity Classic Car Extravaganza
Now in its 21st year, IFA Club is excited to have been asked to promote an Eastern Bloc vehicle gathering as part of this prestigious annual event. Over 1000 vintage, classic, custom and retro vehicles are expected from across UK and Europe. See flier below.
Vehicles display on the 1-mile length of Ryde Esplanade from approx 11am -5pm on each day.
All proceeds go to two charities: Earl Mountbatten Hospice and Island Round Table. There is a fee of £7 to enter, covering both days, which goes solely to meet the organiser’s outlay (insurance, traffic control, etc).

9th – 10th July:  IFA Club ‘Iron Curtain Vehicle Weekend’ – based on Stafford

9-10 July:  ‘Iron Curtain Vehicle Weekend’ – based on Stafford, Saturday will include a run to RAF Cosford and the National Cold War Exhibition.  We’ve been here several times before, but a return visit is overdue.  On Sunday we’ll be based at the Really Retro Show at Penkridge, Staffs.  Members have exhibited here before winning accolades for the interest of our display.  This time we’re going for Gold looking for an excellent line-up of varied Eastern Bloc vehicles. Details & Bookings: Richard Hemington 07736 962572

Eastern Block Vehicle Weekend, Oxford, 14th – 15th May,

14-15 May:  ‘Eastern Bloc Vehicle Weekend’ – based on Oxford, we’ll enjoy road runs through fabulous scenery, with interesting venues to visit including joining in a classic car meet at the Control Tower at RAF Greenham Common.  Peace protesters, against the deployment of cruise missiles, made the airfield famous during the Cold War era making our visit all the more interesting. Iron Curtain Vehicle Weekend – Yorkshire Dales: 19 – 21 July 2019


Starting at the National Coal Mining Museum (underground tour for those that want it) then moving to the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway near Skipton. Saturday sees a day tour through some of Britain’s most spectacular scenery, with lunch at the attractive town of Hawes. On Sunday there is an Eastern Bloc vehicle rally on the forecourt of Embsay Station. Train rides (even a steam-hauled full English breakfast) available.

Eastern Bloc Vehicle Weekend – The Cotswolds: 10 – 12 May 2019


Based on Tewkesbury, this event includes a tour of the Morgan factory plus visits to Broadway Tower, Gloucester docks, the Cotswold Motor Museum, the Bugatti Trust and an action packed day at Prescott Speed Hill Climb.

Jawa – CZ Owners Club National Rally. 8-10th June 2018

this will also attract more members even if only for a Day visit.

The site is Top End Farm caravan site at Little Staughton, Bedfordshire

The site description is

We are a family owned and run site situated on the North Bedfordshire /
Cambridgeshire boarder, offering 65 electric hookup pitches and plenty
of remaining space for non-electric pitches on our eleven acre site. We
also have a hard standing area with electric hook ups ideal for large RV’s.

ŸKitchen: 2 large sinks, food prep area and a freezer for your ice
blocks, plus 2 x-large cold water sinks

Price is*£12 per night for non elec pitches*, this includes 2 adults in
each unit with all children 16 and under free. *£15 per unit per night
with electric hook up*. We don’t yet know the price of a rally badge but
expect it to be around £5 or less. Day visitors at £7.

If you want an electric hook up you must *book it with Pete Edwards,
Club Secretary by 30^th April *or take pot luck rally weekend. The site
is large, flat and well drained and used by the Federation of Sidecar
Clubs. There is a pub less than a mile away see

_ does excellent food. The nearest
fuel is about 7 miles away so fill up before arriving._

Usual Rules will apply – no open fires, dogs on leads etc. Saturday is
the main day. Rally Control will be open from Thursday until Monday.

We will be publishing a programme of events which will include a run out
maybe to

nearby Graffam Water England’s third largest reservoir.

Lots of awards to win and please consider bring along a raffle prize.

Site entrance is NOT the shop entrance and it will be signed JAWA CZ OC.
