Anglesey Vintage Rally, 20th – 21st May

We would like to invite you to the Anglesey Vintage Equipment Rally 20th and 21st May 2023.

The Motorcycle section will be hosted indoors, in our usual Hanger, and we are really looking forward to welcoming existing and new exhibitors.

Please see attached a blank entry form for you to complete and return to us. If you could please provide a stamped, addressed envelope. Acceptance letters will be sent out approximately 4 weeks before the show.

Although the bike section predominantly promotes pre 1980s machinery, consideration will be given to more modern machinery with particularly interesting qualities or history (e.g custom, rare, specials).

Please note, we will provide notification should your entry not be selected for this years exhibit (highly unlikely). Please consider your application accepted unless you receive this notification.

16 October: Ace Café ‘Red Oktober’ meet: Although not an IFA Club-organised event, we are, for the second year running, supporting this event held by the World-famous café on the North Circular, near Stonebridge, North London. It opens from 9am with a display of Eastern Bloc cars and bikes, while the vintage-themed restored 1930s café provides a pleasant atmosphere and great food and drink. Red Oktober flier – 2022

1-2 October:  ‘Red Oktober’ weekend will include a Cold War classic vehicle gathering at the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft in Lincolnshire (the World’s largest collection of trolleybuses).  Our Club AGM will be held in the museum’s ‘Regal’ Cinema!  We expect to also visit the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum, the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre and possibly cross the Humber Bridge to visit Streetlife Museum of Transport in Hull. Isle of Wight – Charity Classic Car Extravaganza
Now in its 21st year, IFA Club is excited to have been asked to promote an Eastern Bloc vehicle gathering as part of this prestigious annual event. Over 1000 vintage, classic, custom and retro vehicles are expected from across UK and Europe. See flier below.
Vehicles display on the 1-mile length of Ryde Esplanade from approx 11am -5pm on each day.
All proceeds go to two charities: Earl Mountbatten Hospice and Island Round Table. There is a fee of £7 to enter, covering both days, which goes solely to meet the organiser’s outlay (insurance, traffic control, etc).

9-10 July:  ‘Iron Curtain Vehicle Weekend’ – based on Stafford, Saturday will include a run to RAF Cosford and the National Cold War Exhibition.  We’ve been here several times before, but a return visit is overdue.  On Sunday we’ll be based at the Really Retro Show at Penkridge, Staffs.  Members have exhibited here before winning accolades for the interest of our display.  This time we’re going for Gold looking for an excellent line-up of varied Eastern Bloc vehicles. Details & Bookings: Richard Hemington events@ifaclub.co.uk 07736 962572

14-15 May:  ‘Eastern Bloc Vehicle Weekend’ – based on Oxford, we’ll enjoy road runs through fabulous scenery, with interesting venues to visit including joining in a classic car meet at the Control Tower at RAF Greenham Common.  Peace protesters, against the deployment of cruise missiles, made the airfield famous during the Cold War era making our visit all the more interesting. WARTBURG TRABANT IFA CLUB UK – 50th ANNIVERSARY EVENT

Starting at the National Coal Mining Museum (underground tour for those that want it) then moving to the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway near Skipton. Saturday sees a day tour through some of Britain’s most spectacular scenery, with lunch at the attractive town of Hawes. On Sunday there is an Eastern Bloc vehicle rally on the forecourt of Embsay Station. Train rides (even a steam-hauled full English breakfast) available.

Based on Tewkesbury, this event includes a tour of the Morgan factory plus visits to Broadway Tower, Gloucester docks, the Cotswold Motor Museum, the Bugatti Trust and an action packed day at Prescott Speed Hill Climb.
