I am a new member to the club, but an MZ owner since 1979. I recently got to the bottom of the poor performance of my ETZ 250 (which had been standing for a long period of time I will admit) when the crank suddenly decided to remain imobile when I was gently cruising at about 40 mph the other day.
While trying work out what to do about the crank I started making some enquiries about new parts.
Does anyone have any recommendations for who will rebuild my very seized crank, with an idea of cost? or has anyone bought one of the new crankshafts from ‘meinzweirad_de’ the online MZ shop. The cranks seem to very reasonably priced at about 80 euros (£63).
All comments gratefully recieved as I will probably go down the route of total rebuild including a rebore.
