Saxon Tour 251 – ignition timing, clutch cable.

Hi, I am a returnee to MZs after a break of forty years! I have bought a 1994 ETZ Saxon Tour 251 and have a couple of queries:

1) How do I check the ignition timing with the electronic ignition system? (The Haynes manual is silent on the subject and the backplate has a pair of scratch marks which line up and a pair of black paint dots which don’t quite line up!)

2) I have seen two different part numbers for the clutch cable listed on he MZ-B website, which is correct for my bike?

Also, is there a downloadable parts list anywhere on the web?

I set the timing at 3mm b.f.t.d.c. Switch on a small radio then switch on the ignition rotate the crank back and forth you should hear a chrackel on the radio at the point the point would open.
