Hello, I’m doing up a tS125 but the warning light won’t go out when the engine is revved. The manual says to check if the D+ terminal on the reg. is earthed, which it is, but so does the new replacement solid state reg. Also the 61 wire is earthed, but through the ignition switch, not along it’s length. The battery is new and the brushes are fine, the replacement reg. was fitted with no change. Everything works on the bike. Any checks I can do to sort this?

      Cheers, MikeJ

Hello again- problem sorted! It was the D+ lead from the reg. to the dynamo, which had shorted and I bypassed it with a jumper wire and all is o.k. Unfortunately, Haynes mistranscribed the phrase from the original MZ manual which refers to the D+ wire, not the D+ terminal, as in the Haynes manual,

      Cheers, MikeJ
