      Hi,

Can anyone advise where I can obtain copper washers for the long screws which secure the crankcase cover on a ES250/2? The copper washers have an inside diameter of 2.5mm, an outside diameter of 4mm and are 0.5 mm thick. One of the washers is missing from the crankcase screw which is weeping oil. I’ve searched online but can’t seem to find any suppliers for the size of washer that I’m looking for?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I think I’ve been a bit of a dingbat! I’ve just measured the copper crush washers again and realised in need M5 washers for the crankcase screws. I think I must have read the wrong scale on the calliper…… Doh!

All crankcase and side panels screws are M6. Search ebay for m6 aluminium washers, not copper.

I’ve just realised that copper on aluminium will corrode. I’ll order some aluminium washers.

      Thanks for the advice
