Thanks for the advice, Steve. Unfortunately I don’t have access to spray equipment so I was wondering if cellulose in a spray can (obtainable on ebay) might do the trick? I have only recently returned to bikes after a gap of some 10 years when all this Health and Safety sh*t seems to have crept up on us, but in the good old days of the ’60’s and ’70’s I remember spraying lots of tanks and never having any bother with petrol stripping the paint afterwards.
