Hello fellow MZ ers! I am restoring a currently non running 1980 ts250/1, and attempting to replace the main crankshaft oil seal on the right side. I have read that a 10mm bolt can be used through the armature to facilitate its removal from the tapered shaft. I have tried a couple of m10 bolts, but they don’t seem to want to go in. Does anyone know what the thread pitch would be for such a bolt? Am wondering also if the internal thread on the armature may be damaged. If anyone has done this job, any thoughts would be much appreciated. Cheers Andre

Normal m10x1.5mm bolt works. You need at least 70mm of thread, sometimes connection between crank and rotor is very tight.
