Hello, a mate of mine used Carplan/Tetroseal aerosol paint on the tank of his BSA Starfire, any petrol that spills on it can cause slight discoloration but it polishes out, I use a spray gun with a synthetic enamel (Tractol) on my bikes after a couple of weeks to cure petrol will not touch it.
