Solid State Regulator 1977 MZ 150 TS 6v

Hi,

I am new to the club.

Just wondering how to wire a Solid Sate Regulator.

I did this before but think solid sate regulator has blown. I cut off resistor on the generator as instructed. The regulator has lasted less than a year and seems to have blown causing main fuses and flasher to blow. This happened once I attached a new 6v battery.

I have attached a diagram I got from this site and the instructions for the solid state regulator. I am still slightly confused . Also is regulator or generator positively or negatively excited?

I just want to check with those a lot more experienced than I ? Many Thanks in advance.
